A lovely centrally located place making a stay in Ambleside really easy. Positive: Central location right off the main street and next door to a Tapas bar - ideal! Really liked that we were able to park at the property. Loved the quirkiness of the place and my bed (the double)was incredibly comfortable. The 'woodburner' was electric which worked well and we felt really cosy. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there was plenty of hot water. Liked the drying facility in the garage where we could hang wet clothes (and play darts!!) Lots of books and games for wet days. Excellent instructions for appliances and information about the town and surrounding area. Negative: The garage is great but our LR Discovery only just went in and we had to wait until a car parked opposite wasn't there to be able to manoeuvre in. There are internal stairs up to the property and then more to the smallest single room. This room at the top is really small and has a bit of a void alongside the bed which my youngest daughter found a bit scary but others might find it makes a great den!

A lovely weekend away with friends and wonderful accommodation Positive: The accommodation felt like a home from home. We love the little touches and location Negative: Nothing not to like. A small welcome pack of tea coffee etc would have been appreciated but we managed to get our supplies.
