We spent a happy cosy Christmas week there. Positive: Very cosy, really well equipped, very clean and in a fantastic location. Have the parking was also a massive bonus. It was a great base for some lovely walks without needing to use the car Negative: The steps to the living room are a little steep for if you were not steady on your feet but not an issue for us

Heart of Ambleside in comfort Positive: We loved staying here. It was hard to leave! This house is located right in the heart of Ambleside. It has a garage that fits a medium sized vehicle. Washer/dryer in the garage. Two blocks away there is a Tesco for groceries. The wifi was good and dependable. It's not your standard cookie cutter house. It has character and feels very warm and inviting. The living areas are upstairs, with the garage and entry below. We arrived at the same time the seasons first named storm Amy arrived! After 6 hours traveling down from Scotland through wind, rain and trees blowing down... it was so nice to arrive here. We felt very secure and comfortable as the storm continued over the next couple days. It was nice to be able to walk to everything we needed within 5 minutes through the rain. We would highly recommend staying here! We will definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back into the area. Negative: There was nothing that we didn't like.
