Nice place, but be aware there are short comings.
Positive: Great location, easy to get to places, like the pier head and shops, warm and comfy.
Negative: Parking can be a pain, but it’s the same for most places in Ambleside, the parking pass is a must
The flat could do with a bit of TLC, the floor is dented in a place, there are bits of woodwork that is worn or chewed
There are wires trailing, especially around the TV, there was a spoil of cable just to the side of the Sky box.
The lamp in the picture had a blown bulb, was left unplugged and an additional desk lamp was placed on the window ledge, which would be covered with a curtain when it turns dark. The flat is a bit darker than the pictures portray it.
It was a bit noisy with the holiday makers in the cottage above, could hear talking quite clearly with fairly loud footsteps, wasn’t bad, but could have done to know this beforehand.
The saniflow for the toilet was just running constantly, dribbling into the toilet basin.
Overall, it was a nice place, but felt a bit like a student flat, not a holiday home you’d pay a premium for.

Enjoyable stay in Ambleside
Positive: Enjoyable stay at Thomas Fold Flat - good communication, location, cosy, quiet. Parking permit a big plus.
Negative: Some aspects could use a little attention (fan in bedroom, mismatched crockery, floor in living room).
